How to use
- Pick a date and time, or leave it empty for the current time.
- Enter the source time zone, e.g.
Europe/London(empty uses your own). - List the target zones, one per line — or leave empty to see major cities.
Time zones use IANA names such as America/New_York, Asia/Kolkata, Asia/Colombo or Australia/Sydney, which include daylight saving history. UTC offsets are shown for each.
Why daylight saving matters
The US and Europe switch to summer time on different dates, so the difference between New York and London is 4 hours for a few weeks each year instead of 5. Converting with the actual date avoids missed meetings.
Frequently asked questions
Why use city names instead of EST or CET?
Abbreviations are ambiguous and do not tell whether daylight saving applies; IANA names like America/New_York do.
Does it handle daylight saving time?
Yes, for the date you choose.
Is UTC the same as GMT?
For everyday use yes; UTC is the precise standard and never has daylight saving.
