What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar browser feature. They let a site remember things such as your login or your preferences.

Third-party cookies
- Google AdSense (advertising) — Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and prevent fraud. With your consent (where required), these may be used to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See how Google uses cookies in advertising.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google may set cookies on its own domains to sign you in securely.
- Embedded content — pages that embed a YouTube video may let YouTube set cookies when you play it.
We do not control third-party cookies; their providers’ policies apply.
How to control cookies
- Personalised ads: opt out at Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you can change your consent choices at any time through the privacy message shown on the site.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies means you cannot stay signed in and some tools may ask you to complete the “I’m human” check again.
