Add Watermark to Image

Add a text watermark to photos — in a corner, centred or tiled — with your colour and opacity.

Why add a watermark to images?

A watermark is text or a logo placed over an image to show who owns it, discourage copying and promote your brand when the image is shared.

Options

  • Position — any corner, centred, or tiled diagonally across the whole image (hardest to remove).
  • Size — as a percentage of the image width, so it looks the same on large and small photos.
  • Opacity and colour — 30–50 % white is visible but does not distract from the photo.

A subtle outline keeps the text readable on both light and dark areas. Apply the same watermark to many photos and download them as a ZIP.

Tips

Use your website or social handle as the text so people can find you. For portfolio previews, the tiled option protects images best.

Corner watermarks can be cropped out; tiled watermarks are much harder to remove.
