How do I split a PDF into separate files?

Upload the PDF, choose One file per page or type ranges separated by commas (for example 1-3, 4-6, 7), and press Split. Each range becomes its own PDF; download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Range syntax

You type	You get
`1-3, 4-6`	Two files: pages 1–3 and 4–6
`2`	One file with page 2 only
`5-`	Page 5 to the last page
`-3`	Pages 1 to 3

To extract a few pages into one file, type a single range. To remove pages instead, use Organize PDF Pages.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract just one page?

Yes — type its number (e.g. 4) as the only range.

Is the quality reduced?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-rendering.

Are files uploaded?

No, splitting happens entirely in your browser.
