Good to know
- Fonts: PDFs usually contain only the letters they use, so new text is written with the closest standard font — Helvetica/Arial, Times or Courier — at the original size and colour. For Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman and Courier documents the result is identical.
- Hidden original text: edited text is covered, like in other online editors. Tick Remove hidden original text before downloading to turn edited pages into images so the old words are gone for good (useful for redacting).
- Scanned PDFs have no real text — use Whiteout plus Add text, or run OCR first.
- Standard PDF fonts support Latin characters; other scripts are replaced with "?".
Is it safe?
Yes. The whole editor runs in your browser with PDF.js and pdf-lib, so your document is never uploaded to a server.

Can I change the existing text of a PDF?

Up to 300 pages and 100 MB.
Is it free and private?
Yes, it is free, needs no sign-up and your file never leaves your device.
