Crop PDF

Trim the margins of PDF pages by millimetres — all pages or selected ones — without losing quality.

How do I crop a PDF?

Choose the PDF, enter how many millimetres to cut from the top, right, bottom and left, optionally pick pages, and press Crop PDF. The tool sets a new crop box on each page, so the visible area shrinks without re-rendering anything.

Common uses

  • Remove wide white margins from scanned books or papers so they read better on a tablet.
  • Cut off headers, footers or printer marks.
  • Crop only some pages — e.g. 2-5 — and leave the cover untouched.

Cropping is lossless: text stays selectable and images keep full quality. To change the paper size instead, use Resize PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is cropping reversible?

The cut-off content is hidden, not deleted, so most PDF editors can restore it. Do not crop to hide confidential data — redact it instead.

Will it reduce the file size?

No, the hidden content is still in the file.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No, everything happens in your browser.
