Webcam Test (Camera Checker)

Check that your webcam works: live preview, resolution, frame rate and a test photo.

How do I check if my webcam works?

Press Open webcam test, then Start camera and allow access. A live preview appears with the camera name, resolution (for example 1280×720) and frame rate; you can take and download a test photo.

Camera not working?

Allow the camera in the address bar (lock icon → Camera → Allow).
“In use” errors mean another app (Zoom, Teams, Skype) has the camera — close it.
Check privacy shutters, function keys (F8/F10 on many laptops) and system privacy settings.

Frequently asked questions

Is the video recorded?

No, the preview is only shown on your screen.

Why is the resolution low?

Your camera or USB connection may not support HD, or another app limits it.

Does it work on phones?

Yes — phones usually open the front camera.
