Video Metadata Viewer

See a video file’s duration, resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, bitrate and size — without uploading it.

How do I check the resolution and frame rate of a video?

Choose a video file and the viewer reads its duration and resolution, measures the frame rate by playing a short sample, and calculates the aspect ratio, quality class (720p, 1080p, 4K…) and average bitrate from the file size.

Typical bitrates

ResolutionTypical bitrate (H.264)
720p3–5 Mbit/s
1080p5–10 Mbit/s
4K20–50 Mbit/s
