Online Tuner (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele)

Tune your guitar, bass, ukulele, violin or any instrument with your microphone — chromatic, accurate to the cent.

How do I tune my guitar online?

Choose your instrument, press Start and allow the microphone, then play one string at a time. The tuner detects the pitch, shows the nearest note or string, the frequency in hertz and how many cents sharp or flat you are, and turns green when the string is in tune within ±5 cents.

Standard tunings

  • Guitar: E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4 (drop D: D2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4).
  • Bass: E1 A1 D2 G2.
  • Ukulele: G4 C4 E4 A4.
  • Violin: G3 D4 A4 E5.

Tips

Tune in a quiet room, pluck firmly and let the note ring, and tune up to the note rather than down for more stable strings.
