Audio Speed Changer

Speed up or slow down audio and podcasts (0.25×–4×) while keeping the voice pitch natural.

How do I speed up audio without changing the pitch?

Choose the file, enter a speed such as 1.5 and keep “Keep the original pitch” ticked. The tool uses WSOLA time-stretching: it overlaps short slices of the audio at matching points, so the tempo changes but voices do not sound higher or lower.

Uses

  • Listen to lectures and podcasts at 1.25–2× to save time.
  • Slow songs to 0.75× to learn instrument parts.
  • Untick pitch correction for a “chipmunk” or slowed-down effect.

Frequently asked questions
