Website Technology Checker

Find out what a website is built with: CMS, frameworks, analytics, CDN, server and more.

How can I find out what a website is built with?

A website technology checker inspects a page's HTML, HTTP headers and cookies for known fingerprints — such as WordPress file paths, Shopify CDN links or a Cloudflare header — to identify the CMS, frameworks, analytics and hosting a site uses.

What it can detect

  • CMS and builders: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Ghost and more.
  • Frameworks and libraries: Next.js, Nuxt, React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS.
  • Analytics and tags: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Matomo, Plausible.
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare, Fastly, CloudFront, Akamai, Vercel, Netlify, nginx, Apache, LiteSpeed.
  • Other: payments (Stripe, PayPal), live chat, CAPTCHAs, ad networks and server-side frameworks.

How to use it

Research competitors' tools, qualify sales leads, check what a client's site runs on before a redesign, or confirm that your own analytics tags are present. Every result shows the evidence it was based on.

Detection is based on the first page load; tools injected later by JavaScript or hidden behind a proxy may not appear.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is technology detection?

Each result is based on a concrete fingerprint shown in the Evidence column, so detections are reliable. Some technologies cannot be detected because they leave no trace in the HTML or headers.

Why is WordPress not detected on a WordPress site?

Some sites hide WordPress paths with security plugins or serve pages through a headless front end.

Does this tool install anything?

No. It reads the public page and headers from our server.
