How to use it
- Paste an article, a competitor's page text or a list of search queries.
- Choose 2, 3 or 4-word phrases.
- Keep the stop-word filter on to skip phrases like "of the" or "in a".
Why phrases matter for SEO
Search queries are usually phrases, not single words. Seeing which 2–3 word phrases a page repeats tells you what it is really optimised for — and whether you are repeating the same expression too often, which reads badly.
For single-word counts and density of a live URL, use the Keyword Density Checker; for totals and reading time, the Word Counter.

Which stop words are filtered?
Common English function words such as the, and, of, to and in at the start or end of a phrase.

Counting works for any language; the stop-word filter is English only.
