How do I create a mailto link?

A mailto link (mailto:name@example.com) opens the visitor's email app with a new message. Parameters such as subject, body, cc and bcc can pre-fill the email.

Spaces and special characters must be percent-encoded — the generator does this so line breaks, ampersands and accents work in every email client.
