What is LocalBusiness schema?

LocalBusiness schema is structured data that describes a business with a physical location — its name, address, opening hours, phone number and coordinates — so search engines can show accurate local information.

Tips for local SEO

  • Choose the most specific type (Restaurant, Dentist, AutoRepair…).
  • Use exactly the same name, address and phone (NAP) as on your Google Business Profile.
  • Write opening hours as one line per group, e.g. Mo-Fr | 09:00-17:30 and Sa | 10:00-14:00.
  • Add latitude and longitude for precise map placement, and your profile links in sameAs.

LocalBusiness markup complements — but does not replace — a verified Google Business Profile, which drives map results.

Paste the generated <script type="application/ld+json"> block anywhere in the page's HTML (the head is common), then validate it with Google's Rich Results Test or our Structured Data Checker. Markup must describe content that is visible on the page.
