How do I get a link for customers to leave a Google review?

A Google review link opens the "write a review" box for your business directly. It is built from your Google Place ID: https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID.

How to get your Place ID

  1. Open Google's Place ID Finder (in the Google Maps Platform documentation).
  2. Search for your business name and copy the Place ID (it usually starts with "ChIJ").
  3. Paste it here to create the review link.

You can also copy a ready-made review link from your Google Business Profile ("Ask for reviews").

Ways to share

Send it in follow-up emails and SMS, add it to receipts and invoices, or print it as a QR code on tables and packaging with the QR Code Generator. Ask every customer — Google does not allow offering rewards for reviews.

Does the link work on phones?
