Gmail and Yahoo sender rules
Since 2024, anyone sending to Gmail or Yahoo must have SPF or DKIM, and bulk senders need SPF, DKIM and a DMARC record. Missing authentication is the most common reason legitimate mail lands in spam.
Fixing problems
Start with red items. Use the SPF Checker, DKIM Checker and DMARC Checker for detailed fixes. DKIM keys are only found on common selector names; if yours is custom, test it with the DKIM Checker.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my email go to spam?
The usual causes are missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC, a sending server on a blacklist, or content that looks like spam. Start by fixing authentication.
Can I enter an email address?
Yes. The tool uses the domain after the @ sign.
Is a score of 100 required?
No, but SPF, DKIM and DMARC should all be green. MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI are extra improvements.
