CSV to SQL Converter

Convert CSV into SQL CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite or SQL Server.

Runs instantly in your browser — results update as you type.

How do I import a CSV file into SQL?

Paste the CSV with a header row, choose your database and table name, and the converter writes a CREATE TABLE statement with guessed column types (INTEGER, DECIMAL, DATE, VARCHAR…) plus batched INSERT statements with properly escaped values.

Good to know

  • Identifiers are quoted for the chosen dialect (backticks for MySQL, double quotes for PostgreSQL/SQLite, brackets for SQL Server).
  • Single quotes in values are doubled, and empty cells become NULL.
  • For very large files, native import tools are faster: LOAD DATA INFILE (MySQL) or \copy (PostgreSQL).

Frequently asked questions

Comma, semicolon and tab are detected automatically.

Are column types always right?

They are inferred from the data — review them before production use.

Is my data uploaded?

No, conversion runs in your browser.
