What you get for each URL
- HTTP status code
- Title tag and its length (ideal: 30–65 characters)
- Meta description and its length (ideal: 70–165 characters)
- A verdict: pass, warning (length) or fail (missing)
The checker also lists titles used on more than one page — duplicate titles make it hard for Google to tell pages apart.
How to use it
- Paste up to 20 URLs, one per line — for example your most important landing pages or the URLs from your sitemap.
- Fix every red row first (missing tags), then rewrite titles and descriptions that are too long or too short.
- Preview your new snippet with the SERP Snippet Preview before publishing.
To inspect every meta tag on a single page, use the Meta Tags Analyzer.
Frequently asked questions
How many URLs can I check?
Up to 20 URLs per check.
Does Google always use my meta description?
No. Google rewrites snippets when it finds text that better matches a query, but a good description is used most of the time.
Why are duplicate titles a problem?
Pages with the same title compete with each other and give Google weaker signals about which page fits which search.
